CONSENT AGENDA
1. Consideration and action regarding approval of an Ordinance establishing the classified positions within the City of Balch Springs Police Department by amending the number and types of classified positions.
3. Consideration and action regarding approval of a resolution nominating candidates for election to the Board of Directors of Dallas Central Appraisal District.
4. Consideration and action regarding approval to remove Charlie Casarez and Chase Rettig from all Boards and Commissions for unexcused absences pursuant to Section 2-184(c)(4) of the Code of Ordinances.

Briefing by city staff regarding approval to amend Chapter 78 of the Ordinances, by amending Chapter 78, Article II, Specific Street Regulations, Division 5, School Zones, by amending Section 78-142, Times of Specific School Crossing Zones. B. Consideration and action on Rezoning Application 002-2024 by Marie Tedei dba Place Strategies/Ivan Gonzalez to rezone subject parcel totaling (+/-) 13.6822 acres located at 4708 Pioneer Road from “C,” Commercial Zoning District to “PD,” Planned Development District to develop a mixed-use community, incorporating commercial, agricultural, and residential uses.
7. Consideration and action to provide funding in the amount not to exceed $160,000 for Public Transportation for fiscal year 2024-2025 as operated by STAR Transit.
8. Consideration and action regarding approval of a contract amendment with Hi-Tek Paving Services for construction of a new parking lot, soccer fields and access driveway at Woodland Park located at 14400 Horseshoe Trail not to exceed $225,196.
9. Discussion and action to contract AZAP Welding LLC to build three (3) shade structures to provide protection for City equipment being stored behind City Hall for an amount not to exceed $100,000.00 to be paid from the Wastewater Capital Improvement fund.
10. Consideration and action regarding prohibiting the use of city patrol cars for off-duty jobs.
11. Discuss and consider city attorneys services.
