1. Commendations to First Responders and Special Recognitions during two (2) disasters that took place in the City of Balch Springs, namely the Spring Ridge Fire on July 25 and citywide flood incident on August 22, 2022.

1. Consideration and action regarding an Ordinance to amend the City of Balch Springs Code of Ordinances by amending Chapter 2, Administration, Article V, Boards and Commissions, Division 6, Comprehensive Plan Advisory Committee (CPAC), Section 2-253, Appointments, to allow for up to 15 CPAC committee members, set minimum committee membership requirements per City Council district, and define a quorum of the CPAC to be a majority of appointed members.
2. Consideration and action to approve the appointment(s) of the Comprehensive Plan Advisory Committee.
3. A.Conduct briefing on Zoning Ordinance Amendment No. 001-2022, by the City of Balch Springs regarding amendment to Chapter 90, Article III- Zoning Land Use Regulations, Section 90-3.04 Conditional Development standards for Convenience Stores and Convenience Stores with Drive-Through standards to provide for a minimum distance between convenience stores.
3. B.Conduct a Public Hearing on Zoning Ordinance Amendment No. 001-2022, by the City of Balch Springs regarding amendment to Chapter 90, Article III- Zoning Land Use Regulations, Section 90-3.04 Conditional Development standards for Convenience Stores and Convenience Stores with Drive-Through standards to provide for a minimum distance between convenience stores.
3. C.Consideration and action on Zoning Ordinance Amendment No. 001-2022, by the City of Balch Springs regarding amendment to Chapter 90, Article III- Zoning Land Use Regulations, Section 90-3.04 Conditional Development standards for Convenience Stores and Convenience Stores with Drive-Through standards to provide for a minimum distance between convenience stores.
4. Consideration and action to approve the use of Hotel Occupancy Tax (HOT) Funds in an amount not to exceed $12,650 for a geophysical survey of the Balch Springs Community Cemetery and its surrounding area located at 2905 Balch Springs Road.
5. Consideration and action to amend the policy for Public Comments.
6. Discuss the City Council Calendar and Action Plan.
7. Consideration and action regarding Application of City of Balch Springs Code of Ordinances, Section 2-48,"Political Advertising," at the October 4, 2022 National Night Out.
